We *love* the new costume Simone, one of our samba dancers is wearing here - and what’s more, really getting into the carnival spirit, the Brazilian-born dancer made it herself! Well that means fewer hours of feathery toil, and maybe a cup of tea for our head costumier Maeve, who is starting to see sequins in front of her eyes as after-image… ahh, the perils of being a ‘carnavalesca’.
Longstanding Samba School dancer Lyna (as seen shimmying a welcome to Liverpool on the huuge billboards around Lime St Station) is also making her own outfit, can’t wait to see that one too. Bring on the colour and sparkle! yay!
